Alltagsleben wie in Deutschland, nur in KanadaDaily routine like in Germany but in Canada

Slowly but steady I am drifting into a daily routine: I am going to work, make some dinner and watch some TV before I go to bed. I guess it would be the best to run away from Kelowna. However I got a lack of motivation at the moment but I am sure that it something will show up. Just like always.

The work in the vineyard is getting less. There is nothing to do at the vines at the moment and we let them grow. So I do everything else what has to be done: gardening, restock the wine shop, paint or stain tables, window frames and barrels, clear the basement and clean windows.

Two weeks ago I went with my work colleague James out. We had the plan to go to a bar but we ended up at a First Nations People house party. The normally stay with there own and therefore I can feel honored that to get drunk with them. Which basically was what happened. In the living room where two poles for pole dancing. One static, the other rotating. After the really presentable show of the owner Brittany almost everyone gave it a try. I have to admit that it is really exhausting and you need a lot of strength and body control. Due this experience a see pole dancing more as a sport now than as something which belongs into a strip club.

Sabine a girl from Berlin who works here in the hostel and is longer here than me, had the idea to climb Knox Mt. on Wednesday night with the attempt to see northern lights. I kind of missed two almost-appointments to go out before and she already bought beer and so I had no other choice to get me lazy ass up from the couch. Furthermore I liked the idea of seeing northern lights. Sadly we have not seen some but we had a good conversation, I guess. Anyway, I was able to take to nice picture of Kelowna at night.

I had a lot of freetime in the past weeks and so was able to finish the cutting of the video of the hike with Patrick on Hawaii. I inserted it into the article of the hike: http://canada.with-ge.org/en/2014/12/31/holoholo/
