Seit Samstag vermisse ich meine Kamera. Sie wurde mir wahrscheinlich in Banff im Hostel aus meinem Rucksack gestohlen.

Gestern war ich auf dem Weg nach Jasper und habe den ersten Stopp am Crowfoot Gletscher Lookout eingelegt. Als ich weiterfahren wolle sprang der Motor zwar an, die Umdrehungszahl wurde dann aber immer geringer bis der Motor aus ging – die Benzinpumpe ist kaputt. Ich musste das Auto zurück nach Lake Louise schleppen lassen. Verschrotten ist günstiger als reparieren lassen und da das Auto nie viel wert war, werde ich das tun lassen.
Das Alles ist nicht nur teuer sondern auch ärgerlich. Ich muss jetzt hier in Lake Louise versuchen alles los zu werden, was nicht in meinen Rucksack passt und das ist eine ganze Menge. Schön wäre, wenn ich für einiges noch ein wenig Geld bekommen würde um einen Teil meiner Unkosten zu decken.

Aufgrund dieser Umstände und weil ich auch langsam genug Berge gesehen habe werde ich wahrscheinlich eher nach Deutschland zurück kommen als geplant …Since Saturday I miss my camera. It was me probably stolen in Banff at the hostel out of my backpack.

I was on the way to Jasper, yesterday and had the first stop at the Crowfoot Glacier Lookout. When I wanted to go on the engine started but the rpm got lower and lower until the engine died – the fuel pump is broken. I had to get the the car towed back to Lake Louise. Scrapping is cheaper than repairing and since the car was never worth much, I will do that.
All this is not only expensive but also annoying. I must now try anything to get rid of what does not fit in my backpack and that’s a lot, here in Lake Louise. It would be nice if I get a little money for some stuff to cover some of my expenses.

Under these circumstances, and because I have slowly seen enough mountains I will probably come back to Germany sooner as planned …
